I've found a gen 3 Glock 21 sf and HK 45 V1 with the LEM trigger. The HK is $50 more than the Glock, both are used. HK has one mag and the Glock has 3. Which would be a better full size pistol? The USP Compact side stippling helped more with grip lock than the 45C. The slide of the USP Compact is more of a square slide, while the 45C is more streamlined. This does take off some weight. The Glock 21SF was originally meant as a duty weapon for smaller officers who prefer a heavier bullet over the 9mm. The biggest difference between the 2 guns is the width of the grip from the trigger to the rear of the grip. The heel of the grip on the G21SF is 4mm shorter than the G21 and 2.5mm shorter in the grip from the trigger to backstrap.

Harrison January 21, 2021 Gun Comparisons 2 Comments. Today, we're comparing the Heckler & Koch (HK). HK VP9 vs Glock 17 Concealed Carry. From a size standpoint, the HK VP9 and the Glock 17 are nearly identical, including their respective weights. They both hold 17 rounds, even though the HK VP9 originally shipped with 15-round magazines.. P220 = 30.6oz. Glock 21 = 26.28oz. Full size HK USP = 31oz. Personally, I've owned all 3 of them and current own 3 USPs in 45acp and 1x p220 and don't own any Glock 21. Forget Glock 21, it's bulky (except the new slim version), lack accuracy (compare to the other 2) and tend to blow up.
The G21 can be converted to 10mm which is a bonus option whereas the HK cannot without some serious modding. However, the ability to shoot 45 Super straight from the box kinda eliminates the 10mm conversion 'disadvantage' somewhat. The HK45 from what I've learned can also shoot 45 Super on a limited basis without mods. When you come down to it, both the HK45 and G21 accomplish the same thing.launching a .45 caliber projectile. My vote would be to go for the HK45, since you carry the P30. The Ergos are very, very similar on both as are the controls except for the de-cockers, and both have the HK mag release which differs greatly from the Glock.

The HK is taller, but the guns are so close when stood next to each other (between 1/8" and 1/4"). With that said, both are a close call when it comes to concealability. Stacked: Height difference: Stack reversed: I agree I owned the HK USP 45 and have shot the G21 G21 is much bigger, maybe not heavier, but a lot bigger grip. iTrader: 18 / 100%. HK has the better ergo grip and looks very cool but more than twice the price. Get the glock 21 or 21SF which ever fits your hand better. Add an after market trigger set and you will have a great and accurate shooting 45 with a trigger almost as good as a 1911 and still at half the price of an hk45.
The use of a polymer frame means that despite carrying up to five more rounds than a typical 1911, the Glock 21 fully loaded weighs nearly half a pound less. The Glock is easier to. for 45ACP, HK is the only real choice IMO (accepting 1911's of course). If you want a Glock the 17/19 would serve you really well, but for a 45, the HK is a thing of beauty. The HK is not some plastic 1911. It doesn't shoot any differently from a Glock. It's not better than an alloy or steel gun (such as a P220 which comes in both). The difference is that Glock has a 5.5 pound trigger safety which actually engages pretty reliably, HKs have super long trigger pulls, even in SA mode. The HK feels nicer to shoot than the G21 to me. But I don't like it enough over the G21 to spend the extra on it, and extra mags for what HK wants for them. The G21 shoots about as accurate for less money, and maintaining it costs less as well. That which does not kill you makes you stronger.except submarines, they'll just plain kill you. Reply
